Love reading the stories on Ed2010? We’re looking for one more reporter to join our Features team. Responsibilities include attending our happy hours and panels (where you get to rub elbows with all sorts of folks, like the editors of Buzzfeed, Hearst, or Victoria’s Secret for instance not to mention the awesome staff at Ed!), and pitching and writing fun, helpful content for our readers: millennials just like you breaking into media. This is an awesome opportunity to volunteer for Ed, interview some bigshots in the industry, and pick up some (very relevant!) clips. Looks pretty good on a resume if Ed does say so himself!
To apply, send an email to [email protected] by October 30 with three original pitches for stories you think would be a great fit for the site. Write a hed and intro for each (and before you start, make sure to read through some of our existing features so you get a handle on the Ed voice!). Include a few sentences on yourself (are you in college? where have you interned? are you in NYC?) in the body of the email.
Ed would love to have you on board! Just note that if you’re selected, you’ll be expected to send ideas monthly and write at least one feature every four weeks—but you’ll also get lots of perks and get to work with a fun team of editors. Happy pitching!
