Resume Critiques!

Whether you’re going for your first internship or your fifth, your resume needs to be on point if it’s going to impress hiring editors. Luckily, Ed on Campus is here to help!

Once each semester, EOC holds a virtual resume critique. Here’s how it works: You submit your resume to your campus chapter president, and he or she sends it over to get reviewed by a New York City editor working in the biz. Brilliance ensues.

CHAPTER PRESIDENTS: Please gather all of your chapter members’ resumes into ONE email with a subject line “Ed on Campus Virtual Resume Critique” and send them to us  at

DUE DATES: Fall semester resumes are due on October 15th. Spring semester resumes are due March 15th.

REQUIREMENTS: All resumes must be ONE page long and submitted in PDF form (labeled as FirstNameLastName.pdf). Any resumes that do not meet these criteria will not be reviewed. Seriously.

ONE LAST TIP: Pretty please, save yourself (and the editors!) a ton of time, ink and frustration by following the advice here and here.

Media Interns: Earn $1200! Apply for Ed’s Summer Trust Fund!

Don’t have a trust fund? Ed’ll give you the cash! (Who’s your daddy?) Ed knows what it’s like to be an unpaid intern—eating ramen noodles every day, temping for cash, scrounging just about anything from the giveaway tables at work just because it’s “free.”

To help you out, Ed’s gonna give awesome unpaid media interns $1,200 to use for living, travel and whatever other expenses. Assuming Ed can raise the dough, Trust Funds will be given out every summer (subject to funding).

Application must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on the due date.

Make sure you’ve read the eligibility requirements and APPLY NOW!

Chapter Progress Reports

Ed wants you to tell him about what your campus chapter has been up to this semester. If you’re an EOC executive member, keep an eye on your Ed On Campus email for a survey about your chapter’s progress (hence the name). Fall semester surveys will be sent Monday, December 5. They are due December 31.

Start Your School’s Chapter

Dying for some Ed love at your school? Well, our chapters don’t spring up without the gumption of Edsters like yourself. Ed is happy to spread the love around but needs your help. Send Rachel a note if you’re interested in finding out how to bring an Ed on Campus chapter to your school. Note: Ed will not be accepting Ed on Campus applications for the 2018-19 school year.
