Mark your calendars, Edsters: New York Fashion Week is just days away. Whether you’re running from show to show or dreamily gazing at the fall collections online, Instagram is a great way to get a first look at all the biggest runway shows, not to mention some serious street style.
You’re probably already following your favorite brands, editors-in-chief, bloggers, and models on social media, but there’s a new crop of established and emerging fashion plates who share their inside look into the NYFW madness. The shows officially begin February 9, so you’ll want to follow the seven insider below ASAP.
1. Christine Centenera, Fashion Director of Vogue Australia
You probably already follow every major editor from the states, so why not give your Instagram feed some global appeal? Centenera attends the biggest shows of the season and has a knack for catching the best looks and most interesting trends before they hit the masses. When not at fashion week, the editor’s feed is full of glamorous parties, envious outfits, and the occasional picture with a Kardashian. #Goals. Follow Christine at @centenera.
2. Nicole Phelps, Director of Vogue Runway
Consider Vogue Runway your one-stop site during NYFW. Not only does it have runway photos from every collection as well as detailed shots of standout accessories and makeup, Vogue Runway produces thorough reviews at rapid speed. At the helm of Vogue Runway is Nicole Phelps, who has been at the site since its inception as was the executive editor of Vogue Runway‘s predecessor, Style.com. She has front row access to all the biggest shows, so her feed is bound to be chock-full of the best fashion week moments. Follow Nicole on Instagram @nicolephelps.
3. Sies Marjan, Fashion Brand
Perhaps one of the most exciting aspects of fashion week is discovering emerging brands. If you want to keep your finger on the pulse of fashion, follow Sies Marjan. Though creative director Sander Lak began showing at NYFW last year, his line of sleek, off-the-cuff has already won over the hearts of many editors and style influencers. Will the brand keep its sartorial momentum with its third collection? Only one way to find out. Follow Sies Marjan on Instagram @siesmarjan.
4. Carole Colombani, Makeup Artist
Fashion week isn’t all about the clothes; every runway or presentation features trend-setting makeup colors and techniques, too. If you’re going to follow any makeup artist this season, it should be Carole Colombani. She’s worked with every brand from Lemaire to Reem Acra, so you can expect she’ll be taking fashion week by storm. As a bonus, Colombani has a YouTube channel so you can get makeup tips from her long after NYFW. Follow Carole on Instagram @carolecolombani.
5. Jessica Minkoff, Editorial Director of Kirna Zabête
With editorial roles at Marie Claire and Teen Vogue, Jessica Minkoff has quickly become a fashion week mainstay. Now as the editorial director of cool girl luxury retailer Kirna Zabête, Minkoff oversees all editorial and social media content. Her ‘gram is typically full of clothes and accessories she spots around the store and at meetings, but come February 9, her feed is bound to be flooded with snaps from the biggest shows and her edgy street style. Follow Jessica on Instagram @jlminkoff and @kirnazabete.
6. Caroline Vazzana, Stylist, Editor and Consultant
What’s NYFW without some serious style inspiration? As an editor, stylist, and consultant, Vazzana knows a thing or two about putting together an eye-catching outfit. She regularly updates her Instagram feed with exciting looks and snaps from her day-to-day routine. Once February 9 rolls around, you can bet she will be sharing her favorite NYFW moments with you, too. Follow Caroline on Instagram @cvazzana.
7. Yasmin Wijnaldum, Model
Following a couple models is a great way to score a behind-the-scenes look at the festivities. If you already follow the modern-day supers, like Gigi, Bella, and Kendall, and want to bring some new blood to your feed, check at Yasmin Wijnaldum. She’s not even 20 years old and the Dutch model has already worked with brands like Chanel, Proenza Schouler, and Marc Jacobs. While we can’t confirm she’ll be walking in all the biggest New York shows, Wijnaldum’s feed will likely offer an inside glimpse at all four fashion week cities. Follow Yasmin on Instagram @yasminwijnaldum.
