The Quick & Dirty package
This package is for those who have a good idea of what they want to next but need help getting there. We will power through an assessment of your skills and goals, provide a quick and dirty rundown of the job market and content industry as it stands today, and get your marketing materials refreshed.

SESSION 1: ASSESSMENT We will discuss your career goals as well as your current challenges in the job market. We will identify your key strengths, skills, experiences, and specialities that you can confidently leverage for your next role, as well as identify any skills you need to strengthen. Your homework will be to write a UVP (unique value proposition) based on this conversation which will include your skillset, subject area expertise, and ideal work environment.
SESSION 2: TARGETING I will share an overview of the roles within and outside of traditional media, providing a bigger-picture view of the job marketplace for editorial folks and discuss where you (and your skills) best fit.
RESUME REWRITE: Informed by your UVP, I will rewrite, edit, and reformat your resume so it’s uniquely optimized and tailored to your next role(s).
SESSION 3: LINKED IN I will advise you how to edit your Linked In profile to ensure it is properly optimized for the role(s) you are targeting and ensure that you are discoverable to recruiters, hiring managers, and AI.

Coaching Power Hour

Job Posting Review: I will review (and sometimes decipher) job postings / descriptions you send me, providing insight on if you are a unique fit and advise on where relevant, how to pitch yourself for the role.
Personal Branding: What is your secret sauce? What do you have to offer that no one else can? We can boil down all the experiences and skills you have to create a unique value proposition just for you. This work usually takes at least three 1-hour sessions.
Cover Letter Editing & Strategy: I will line-edit your cover letter and provide overall strategy notes on how to improve your cover letter writing in general. Please provide the job description in advance.
Edit Test Consultation: I will provide help with how to approach your edit test for an editorial or content role. Note: I will not provide ideas or edit you — that’d be cheating! — but I will give insight into what the hiring manager is likely looking for, how to shine, and show off yourself and your skills.
Interviewing Technique & Strategy: Help with strategizing how to best represent yourself in an interview for a specific role via a phone consultation or a mock interview session. Please provide the job description in advance.
Linked In Consulting: I will walk through your Linked In profile with you and discuss how to optimize it to attract hiring managers and recruiters. Note that this one-off service requires that you first have a focused career path and a highly optimized resume that aligns with that career path. If you don’t, please consider The Talent Fairy Coaching Basic Package above.
Portfolio Consulting: I will walk you through your portfolio and advise on how to best optimize for the role(s) you are pursuing as well as provide examples of successful editorial portfolios. Note that this one-off service requires that you first have a focused career path and a highly optimized resume that aligns with that career path. If you don’t, please consider The Talent Fairy Basic Package above.
Executive Coaching: I will help you work through issues and challenges you are facing in your editorial or content management role — such as dealing with a new boss, acquisition, merger, restructure, or promotion.
Note that I no longer offer a stand-alone resume editing service. I found that resume writing is so personal and specific that it requires a deeper relationship with my clients. The resume / LI service is part of the The Talent Fairy Starter Package (see above)
