AOR – agency of record or area of responsibility
AOV – average order value
BAU – business as usual
BOD – board of directors

CTA – call to action
CAC – customer acquisition cost
CLTV – customer lifetime value
CSAT – customer satisfaction

EEAT – the extra “E” is experience

Funnel – the customer journey from awareness to point of purchase (see TOFU, MOFU, BOFU)
KPI – key performance indicator
FPO – for placement only (think: TK)
FY – fiscal year
LTV – lifetime value
LOI – letter of intent
HOK – hands on keyboard; meaning time you do work vs attending meetings
IAT – integrated agency team
ICP: Ideal customer profile
IO – insertion order
MVP – minimum viable product
NPS – Net Promoter Score

MOFU – middle of funnel
MLR: medical /legal regulatory review
MM – millions
MQL – marketing qualified leads
OKR – objective and key results

SAM – serviceable available market
SEM – search engine marketing
SOM – serviceable obtainable market
SME – subject matter expert
SOP – standard operating procedure
SOW – statement of work; also: scope of work
Sprint – project timeline for a product / engineering team
Spike – task created by product / engineering team to understand a project’s scope
SQL – sales qualified leads
Stakeholder – anyone who has a vested interest in the project / work at hand
S&D – surprise and delight
Retro – retrospective; reviewing how a project went (think: post-mortem)
UX – user experience
UVP – unique value proposition
VAP – video articles page
