5 Devil Wears Prada Landmarks You Need to Visit This Summer

September 11, 2016 by Melissa Guerrero

We can’t all work for Meryl Streep, jet-set to Paris, and dress up in designer clothes every day. But you can channel your inner Andy Sachs—at no cost to your savings or your vacation time—with a tour of five The Devil Wears Prada locations in New York City. Don’t forget your Anna Wintour shades!

1. 252 Broome Street

The film opens with a montage of Andy getting ready in the morning before she strolls out her bright red entryway in the Lower East Side. Located on Broome and Orchard Street, the door is no longer fire hydrant red, but you can still pretend to prep yourself for your upcoming interview in front of it.

2. Erin McKenna’s Bakery, 248 Broome Street

Andy drops by her local bakery for a mid-morning nosh at the formerly named Babycakes bakeshop. Now Erin McKenna’s Bakery, they serve everything from bagels and donuts to loaves and cakes. Each delectable treat is gluten free, vegan, and kosher, so lead by Andy’s example and grab a goodie or two on your way to Runway HQ.

Next, our protagonist heads uptown to find the Elias-Clarke headquarters. Located on 48th Street and 6th Avenue, this is the former McGraw-Hill Financial building and is now home to many companies, including Sirius XM Radio. You’ll probably recognize the golden and silver columned entrance.

4. Bubby’s Restaurant (TriBeca), 120 Hudson Street

Andy’s boyfriend Nate worked at a restaurant in TriBeca called Bubby’s. The pricey but Insta-worthy food joint offers traditional American breakfast and brunch foods. Sadly, you won’t be greeted by a dreamy blue-eyed Adrian Grenier, but you should still drop by and take a pic!

5. The Coffee Shop, 29 Union Square W

After a long day of work and fashion montages, Andy retreats back downtown to meet up with Nate and their friends at The Coffee Shop. This is where she hands out presents, including a Marc Jacobs bag and that trendy Olufsen phone. In addition to coffee, the restaurant is also open for dinner or late night drinks at midnight, so you can stop by to celebrate the end of your tour whenever you’re ready.
