Meredith Apprentice Training Program

May 29, 2017 by Chandra Turner

Ed2010 is partnering with Meredith Corporation on an exciting new program for junior-level editors. Launched by Ed2010 Founder and President Chandra Turner and Executive Editor of Parents magazine, the program will help recent graduates with a talent for writing and a love of print and digital media land a full-time paid apprenticeship at Meredith.

Here’s the deal: Meredith is looking for the best and the brightest young journalists to join our team and help us create quality content across print and digital brands such as Parents, Martha Stewart Living, Shape, Family Circle, and more. Meredith will select 3 Apprentices for this prestigious program which includes full benefits (healthcare, dental, 401K) and pays $40,000 a year for the first year. Note that this program is open only to recent college graduates (or recent graduates of media certificate programs).

The year-long training program will begin in September 2017 and Apprentices will rotate among three different editorial departments within Meredith’s New York City offices: in print, product market (such as beauty, home, or food), and digital/social media. Apprentices will each receive mentors for one-on-one talent and career development as well as small-group workshops in the areas of writing, editing, reporting, analytics, and more. Upon completion of the program, Apprentices will be placed in junior-level roles within one of Meredith’s brands.

Do you think you’d be a great Apprentice? Fill out this application. We hope to make selections in early August.
