Deputy Buddy System Director
Jenn’s passion for magazine journalism sparked when she was 8 years old, making collages in her pink, frilly bedroom, and tearing out free posters of Nick Carter and Britney Spears. By the time she reached her teen years, her entire wall was covered in magazine cut-outs of phrases like “beautiful,” “happiness,” and “you go girl!”
These days, Jenn’s is an experienced digital and social editor living in New York City. She’s the associate editor and social media manager for American Baby Magazine and her work has appeared in several publications including Fitness, Women’s Health, Parents, ClassPass’s blog, WhatToExpect.com and more. She covers various topics from health, fitness and food to pregnancy and parenting. Jenn also serves as the deputy director to Ed’s Buddy System, a program that pairs recent graduates with young editors to give them a guide to the publishing industry and to navigating New York.
When she’s not busy writing, editing or reading, she’s enjoying and discovering the city she’s always dreamed of living in with her loving fiancé, Dan, and two feline friends, Janis and Jimi.
3 things to know about her: 1. She has an insane love of cheese—from cheddar to Brie and feta, there’s no discriminating here. 2. Despite her passion for everything NYC, she remains a loyal Red Sox fan and Bostonian at heart. 3. She loves cardio dance exercises and books at least 3 classes weekly on her ClassPass account!
3 things you didn’t need to know about her: 1. NYC has made Jenn a passionated dedicated foodie – she loves anything spicy, deep-fried, or pickled (especially if it has cheese!). 2. She has a hate-love relationship (but much more of a love) with Teen Mom – yes, season one, two and OG. 3. She ran a half marathon back in 2010 and plans to do another within the next five years (gulp!).
